A Windy Day A plane flies regularly between two airports A and B. It flies A to B and then back to A again. The distance is 500 miles each way and the plane flies at 200 miles per hour on a day without wind.
However, on this day the wind is blowing at 50 miles per hour and the plane flies from A to B with the wind and back to A against the wind. Will the plane be in the air for more time, less time, or the same amount of time on a windy day as a day with no wind?
