Celebrating International Woman’s Day March 8th

Most of us are familiar with Mother’s day but less acquainted with International Women’s Day which falls on March 8th.

While the celebration focuses on gender equality in relation to economic social, and political achievements. We recognize women work harder for the same pay, opportunities and success.

In celebrating women’s day I think of my mother who worked hard to become a Music Teacher, School Principal, landowner, and real estate developer while helping her children to achieve the highest level of education.

These women and women before them paved the way for greater recognition of women worldwide.

Every country has its own heroine here are a few:

Queen Esther

Esther was a woman who thought she had no power over her husband matters of importance.  She changed life for all the Jews in Persia.

Rena Stanisława Sendler was a Polish humanitarian, social worker, and nurse who saved children during World War II.

Mary Temple Grandin  Autism did stop her to become a famous proponent for the humane treatment of livestock.

Feel free to pass this to someone else. Please watch the video as well.
