Hypno-thief robs Italian businesses

ANCONA, Italy, March 24 (UPI) — Italian authorities are searching for a thief who allegedly uses hypnosis on employees to steal cash, police said.

The most recent report of hypnosis-thievery was in the Italian city Ancona, where a bank teller was allegedly coaxed into giving a robber more than $1,000, The Daily Telegraph (Britain) reported Monday.

In all of the hypno-robberies, workers reportedly can only remember a man saying, “Look into my eyes,” prior to discovering their registers are missing cash. Read This Article

Fox 21’s Christina Salvo underwent several weeks of hypnosis to see if it could cure her of her phobia of snakes.

A: Ideally, to be free of this phobia. To be in the same room as a snake. To be able to look at a snake without getting a panic attack.

Forget all that. Real therapy-based hypnosis is nothing like the TV version. In fact, chances are, almost all of us have been very close to our own hypnotic state, without ever seeing a hypnotist.
